Alan Devlin is an associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins. His practice focuses on antitrust, appellate and intellectual property matters. Mr. Devlin previously practiced in the firm’s Chicago office, after which he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Richard D. Cudahy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and then to the Hon. Amy J. St. Eve of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has particular expertise in antitrust law and economics, having obtained a doctorate in jurisprudence (J.S.D.) from the University of Chicago in that field under the supervision of the Hon. Richard A. Posner. Mr. Devlin is a 2007 graduate of Stanford Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the Stanford Law Review. He also holds a first-class-honours degree in business and law from University College Dublin.
